Estimation of the amount of leachate generated by a landfill
Project description
International experts in waste management, experts in groundwater dynamics and the transport of pollutants in the underground environment, environmental protection equipment and installation engineers participated in the study. The activities carried out within this project consisted of the following activities:
- Estimate the amounts of leachate produced by the open Pata Rât landfill and estimate of the amounts of leachate produced by the closed Pata Rât landfill, from the date of closure until study's date
- Checking the amount of leachate produced by the landfill due to the study's date
- Identifying and establishing the possible causes that determined by the sudden drop in leachate flow
- Forecasting the quantities of leachate that will be produced in the future by the landfill
